Dedicated Servers – Virtual Personal Servers – Q & A

01. Do you provide any control panels for my VPS?

Yes. We can install any control panel for the Linux VPS for you. We can install any widely used Open Source free Hosting Control Panel for Linux. You can use it to create websites, databases and email accounts etc.

02. Do you provide Graphic User Interface (GUI) for my VPS?

Our Linux VPS does not come with the GUI by default. With Microsoft Windows Servers you can access the server via the Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) using your external IP address.
For Linux we can install it for you and enable the VNC access if you submit a support request. Or you can install the GUI by yourself through SSH.

03. How can I access my Linux VPS server?

SSH is enabled for all the Linux VPS servers. You will get the server IP, username and password once your VPS is ready. You can SSH into the VPS server with the root permission.

04. What security measures do you take to protect my VPS?

Security is our main priority. All the physical servers are behind our hardware firewalls. We have DDoS protection in our network as well. We backup our host server regularly and can restore your VPS from the backup with a small fee if there is anything happens to your VPS (like hacking). We also monitor our network very closely and will stop the attack if there is any.

05. Can I install any software on my VPS?

Yes. You can install any legal software on your Linux VPS server by yourself or by us. You will have total control of your Linux VPS server.

06. Are the resources shared or dedicated for my VPS?

CPU and Memory are dedicated. The bandwidth is shared with other clients in the same host server and rack.

07. Can I reboot my VPS server by myself?

Yes. You can reboot the Linux VPS server and monitor the server status in our SolidCP control panel.

08. Is it easy to upgrade my VPS plan to a higher plan?

Yes. It is free and only has 5 minutes of down time. Please just submit a sales ticket if you want to do so.

09. Can I downgrade my VPS plan to a lower plan?

Yes. However, there will be 2 – 4 hours of down time and we will spend much effort to re-size the image .vhdx file, so it will cost $25 one-time fee for the downgrade.

10. Can I buy additional dedicated IPs for VPS?

An email Linux VPS server comes with one dedicated IP for free. The VPS plan cannot have additional IPs, the cost is $5ex per IP per month.

11. Can you migrate my VPS from other providers?

We use Microsoft Hyper-V virtualization platform for our VPS dedicated environment, so we can migrate your Linux VPS for free if you can provide us with the .vhdx or .vhd image file. If you do not have the image files, we can help you to set up your web sites and databases from your old providers too.
